What is a Marketing Funnel

Apr 6

What is a marketing funnel? Why should every marketer use one?

It is a marketing strategy designed to attract potential customers to your site. It's a selling process that allows someone to browse your website in search of information that solves their problem. But, with the help of specific tools, you can learn how to build an ongoing relationship with every visitor.

This will enable you to understand the customers' requirements. This in turn will push you to offer the best information to all your visitors. Visitors will feel more confident purchasing your products when you have earned their trust. The customer will then turn into a buyer.

Many customers become regular customers, and are more likely to buy each item on your site. The marketing funnel is a compilation of the various steps involved in converting visitors to customer who will buy anything you sell.

This is the goal that should be achieved. This can be achieved easily with a properly designed funnel.

Your efforts to market are capturing the attention of people, and bringing them to your funnel. When they fill out the forms that you have on your PERSONAL Lead Capture Page they are able to enter your funnel. Because nobody is going to sign up on your company's lead capture page, I've declared it "personal". They are looking to be a leader and not a company.

The lead capture page acts as the entry point into the funnel. By clicking the "Sign Up now" and "Enter Here" buttons will open a new realm of network marketing.

It's their choice. It's their decision. You've not sold them anything, other than your leadership qualities, a mentor, and as someone who can show them how to get more leads and more money into their business.

This is how a typical advertising funnel functions.

The "front-end" The "front-end" is where you make a promotional offer that will draw and attract potential customers who might be interested in purchasing your products further in the sales funnel. You will need to register to receive the product (also known as opt-in) and then enter your email address as well as your name. They will then be added to your email marketing list.

Now you have those people on your list of email addresses and you can also send related offers to them that they may be interested in.

When they sign to the offer, the user will be directed to a page that offers an affordable price, or, as it's known, the tripwire offer. This is the moment they are moving to the "back end" of the funnel.

If they purchase the bargain priced offer then they will be taken to a different offer with a higher cost (normally known as an upsell). The person will also be transferred to the next offer if they buy the same offer at a higher price. This can continue for a lengthy period of time.
